“Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.” – John 14:27
Do you have peace in your heart?
Do you know what it means to have peace in your heart? A peace that passes all understanding, that is rooting in deep, anchored trust in the Lord – do you know this peace?
Do you know what it is to not have to worry for tomorrow? While we work and diligently attend to the responsibilities before us, we rely on our Father for all our needs. He also heard our desires and works out what is best for us as His children.
Do you understand what true peace is? To recognize that you are not in control and to submit yourself in humble gratitude to it. To trust harder and deeper, to have the Holy Spirit dwell in you as the temple your body was created to be.
Do you know peace? If not, I implore you to invite the Holy Spirit to enter into your life today, this moment, and give you peace. For it is only by the Spirit of the Lord that we will come to know true, enduring, and powerful peace. Submit to the Lord your cares and your plans and watch how He works for you, that He may be glorified.
Praise God that we find peace in obeying His law.
Praise God that He suffered for us that we might have peace.
Pray that God will give you His peace that passes all understanding.
Pray that God will teach you to abide in Him and in His peace.
Pray that God will teach you to pursue peace with Him and with other people.
Pray that God will teach you to allow Him to fight for you and give you His peace in difficult situations.
Do you know any people who need God’s peace in their hearts? Pray for them.
Do you know any people who are passing through trials? Pray for them, asking for God’s peace to be in their hearts.
Pray for those who are suffering for Christ’s sake, asking that God’s peace will abide in their hearts. If you know anyone in specific, pray for them by name.
Do you know any people who need to make peace with God and other people? Pray for them.
Pray for the protection of our young people from ever increasing worldly influences. Pray that they will focus on the word of God and service to others.
Pray for any personal needs or anything on your heart.
Praise God that He has heard you and that He will do exceedingly abundantly above all that we can ask or think.
May you be blessed!
